HAPPY NEW YEAR! Whatever happened in 2017, good or bad, I hope 2018 is even better for you. Here’s to a new year, a new you, and most importantly, new books!

Chloe Benjamin
Jan 9th 2018
How would you live your life if you knew that date of your death?
This story follows the different paths the four Gold children take, over 50 years, after they learn when they will die.

Charles C. Mann
Jan 28th 2018
What future is in store for the Earth and it's rapidly expanding population? This nonfiction delves into the two theories, by the Wizards and Prophets.

V.S. Alexander
Jan 30th 2018
This historical fiction is set in Germany during World War II. A young woman is assigned to Berghof, Hitler’s mountain retreat, to be his taste tester. Historical fiction seems to be drowning in WWII books lately, but this one looks interesting.

Tamora Pierce
Feb 6th 2018
Tamora Pierce really launched me into series reading when I was in the 7th grade. I still have my battered copy of Wild Magic. I’m so excited about Numair’s backstory at The Imperial University of Carthak.

Tanaz Bhathena
February 27th 2018
This highly rated YA written by debut author, Tanaz Bhathena, looks amazing. Zarin is labeled as a girl you don’t want to be involved with. But after her death, her real life is put together through multiple perspectives.

Michelle McNamara
Feb 27th 2018
This true crime follows Michelle McNamara’s investigation into the unsolved case of the Golden State serial rapist/murderer.

Karen Marie Moning
March 6th 2018
Just in time for my birthday, Karen Marie Moning releases number 10 in her Fever series. The Faerie Queen uses the Song of Making to heal the Earth but unleashes horrifying enemies. High Voltage follows Dani as she battles to save the world.

Harold Schechter
April 1 2018
Most female killers use poison. Belle Gunness butchered people because she liked it. This gruesome account looks into the history of the “Lady Bluebeard.”

J.R Ward
April 18th 2018
Number 16 of the Black Dagger Brotherhood! I’ll be reading number 15, The Chosen, this year for my Popsugar Reading Challenge. The Thief looks like it’s not going to follow the usual formula of following a single character, but still looks engaging.

Carval was stunningly vivid. The colors, scents, and tastes were extremely descriptive (see my review here). As we follow Tella to fulfill her bargain she made at the end of Caraval, I hope Legendary will be just as striking.
What about you? What books are you looking forward to?
